Residential linen changes or other extras apply only if separately selected. We do not discard household food or belongings without instructions.

Neat laundry space with washing machine
Laundry area

06 / THE ROOM STANDARD

Laundry area

Fresh essentials, handled with care.

  • Wipe washer and dryer exteriors and reachable counters.
  • Check machines for left-behind laundry and report it.
  • Clean the accessible dryer lint screen if included and safe to do so.
  • Separate used linens from clean stock according to the property plan.

  • Wipe accessible shelving, empty trash and clean the floor.
  • Replenish approved guest laundry supplies and flag leaks or visible machine faults.

There are two linen options: on-site laundry using your linens if you have not joined our linen program, or clean program linens brought to the property with used items collected for off-site processing. Program linens are not washed at the property. The tasks above cover cleaning the laundry area; your service plan confirms the linen option. Appliance servicing and dryer-vent cleaning are excluded.

Balcony, porch, patio & deck

07 / THE ROOM STANDARD

Balcony, porch, patio & deck

Make the first step outside feel inviting.

  • Close or secure outdoor items according to the host’s instructions and weather plan.

Grill cleaning, pressure washing, landscaping and work at height are separately scoped.

Trash & recycling

08 / THE ROOM STANDARD

Trash & recycling

A fresh space, inside and out.

  • Empty the agreed indoor bins and collect routine guest waste.
  • Separate accepted recyclables using the property’s local collection instructions.
  • Tie trash bags; replace liners and wipe bin spills.

  • Leave lids closed and the bin area orderly.
  • Place and return curbside bins on the agreed collection schedule, if that visit is included.
  • Report overflow, missed pickup or unsuitable waste to the owner.

This covers routine waste transfer to designated bins. Off-site hauling, bulky items and hazardous waste are not standard turnover tasks.

THE LAST LOOK, BEFORE THE NEXT STAY

Walk through as a guest.

Comfort & welcome

  • Check for visible hair, marks, crumbs and lingering odors; flag issues instead of masking them with strong fragrance.
  • Confirm beds, towels and selected essentials match the agreed occupancy and presentation.
  • Follow host-approved lighting, thermostat and curtain settings.
  • Place the host-provided welcome note, local guide and Wi-Fi instructions.
  • Check agreed visible functions such as lights and remotes; report problems.

Readiness & handoff

  • Complete the agreed room checklist and final photo documentation, avoiding personal information.
  • Record low supplies, damaged items, forgotten belongings and maintenance concerns.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the host or property manager before describing the property as ready.
  • Secure doors and windows according to the property access plan.
  • Send the agreed completion update, including any exceptions.

A readiness walkthrough is not a technical, building-safety or maintenance inspection. Repairs, guest communications and emergency response remain with the owner or their appointed provider unless separately contracted.

THE RIGHT CLEAN, AT THE RIGHT TIME

Turnover care and deeper resets
have different scopes.

Initial and deep cleans may add oven interiors, cabinet interiors, detailed baseboards, blinds and heavier buildup removal. Pet hair, stains, unexpected conditions or late access are reviewed before additional work. Your quote confirms the final scope and any additional work.

A GUIDE FOR CHARLOTTE HOSTS

What should you look for
in a turnover cleaning company?

Look for a confirmed service window, a written checklist, clear linen and supply responsibilities, a completion record and genuine customer feedback. Compare the agreed scope as well as the price.

  1. A realistic turnover window

Give each provider your checkout time, next check-in, access instructions and property size. Ask them to confirm the available window before accepting a booking, and agree on what happens if guests leave late.

  2. A written room checklist

Compare the rooms, tasks, exclusions and initial-reset requirements. A routine turnover and a deep clean have different scopes. Use a room-by-room checklist rather than assuming every task is included.

  3. A clear linen plan

Ask who supplies the clean sheets and towels, how many sets are available, and where used items are processed. Confirm whether laundry time is part of the visit or linens arrive ready to exchange.

  4. Guest-supply responsibilities

List the consumables, stock levels and restocking costs. Decide which supplies the host provides and which the cleaning service brings.

  5. A completion record

Agree on the completion update, any photos, and how damage, missing supplies or unfinished work will be reported before the next arrival.

  6. Proof and a practical first step

Read recent, relevant reviews and ask how recurring turnovers are coordinated. A paid trial at one property can help you assess the agreed checklist and communication before arranging ongoing service.

Eco Live Clean offers Charlotte hosts property-specific turnover cleaning, selected rental linens and guest amenities, and an agreed handoff. Availability, scope and price are confirmed before service.
